  • According to a news published by www.ibtimes.ph, the Allied Botanical Corporation is set to open its first ever sunflower maze in Brgy. C. Lichauco, Tayug, Pangasinan on February 17, Friday.

    The sunflower maze is designed by landscape artist, Toni Rivera. As much as 8,000 sunflower plants is said to make up the maze and will take you an estimated 30 minutes to finish. Entrance will only cost you P100.

    This will be a day-farm featuring not just sunflowers but also features vegetations, which houses different vegetables from staples to rare varieties. Plus! Visitors gets to harvest their own fresh crops from the farm’s edible landscape.

    “This year is our takeoff to [becoming an] agri-tourism [destination] after the Department of Tourism accredited us as a day farm. We are offering something that is educational and fun for both kids and adults,” said  Michael Caballes, Allied Botanical Corp. (ABC) President in an interview conducted by Inquirer.net

    Also, visitors get to purchase take-home items from the Food and Agri-Trade Fair and learn a thing or two from the educational field tour and seminar series that will be held at the event.

    Secrets gardens and resting spots are also available for photo ops or a quick break. With only 155 km away from Manila, you’ll get to explore the wonders of urban farming and take a trip down on the first ever sunflower maze in the Philippines.
