This year’s competition will feature sixteen Professional categories and an Open category to encourage professionals, freelancers, and students to explore the limits of their creativity.

Professional Categories, patterned loosely after D&AD’s own competition, include Press and Poster, Corporate/Brand Identity, Typography, Illustration, Book Design, Magazine and Newspaper Design, Film Advertising, Videos, Short Film, Film/Video Craft, Graphic Design, Packageing Design, Outdoor, Environmental/Spatial Design, Product Design, Wearable Design, Production Design, Photography, Digital/Interactive, and Mobile.

These categories call for works from professional designers regardless of theme or purpose, and must have been published from March 2016 onwards.
