Toyota introduces new EVP, maintains #1 automotive manufacturer rank
Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) has managed to keep its rank as the top automotive manufacturer in the country, and it looks to further its lead by adding a new member to its corporate staff.
TMP PRESIDENT SATORU SUZUKI
TMP made the announcement during their annual Media Thanksgiving Party, held at the Shangri-La at the Fort in BGC. This is Toyota’s 15th straight year leading the country’s automotive industry.
TMP President Satoru Suzuki said during his speech that Toyota’s best-selling cars continue to be the Vios and the Innova. He singled them out for their practicality, which Filipinos seem to like.
TMP also breached Toyota’s top 10 markets list, being able to produce more than 100,000 cars for 2016. He also praised Toyota’s effort in bringing the brand closer to the public thanks to events like the Toyota Vios Cup, which is now on its third year.
TMP’S NEW EVP. Kei Mizuguchi
The event also saw Suzuki introducing a new member of TMP: their new Executive Vice President (EVP), Kei Mizuguchi. Mizuguchi was a member of the corporate team for Toyota Asia Pacific. He replaced former EVP Yuji Goto.
