Filipino TV series gain popularity in Indonesia
Two Filipino TV series namely ABS-CBN’s Pangako Sa ‘yo and On the Wings of Love have captured viewers’ attention in Indonesia as it gain a strong following in both its telecast.

As per Philippine Information Agency’s (PIA) report, drama series are among the emerging exports of the Philippines under creative services, as told by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). These two shows telecasted on MNCTV in Indonesia received high ratings in their corresponding time slots, with Pangako Sa’ Yo posting a 16% rating among females and mothers aged 25-29, and On The Wings Love posting a 16.8% ratings among females aged 15-19 and 13.3% among those aged 25-29.
These two shows are dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia, and are being aired on primetime. Aside from these shows, various Filipino TV series have made its way to Indonesia such as drama series like Marina, Mara Clara, and Anna Luna. Popular variety show Eat Bulaga also has an Indonesian counterpart which aired from 2012 to 2016.
According to Philippine Commercial Attaché to Indonesia Alma Argayoso, Indonesian network MNCTV is considering to release new series that will be of interest to Indonesian viewers after the two shows end.
