  • Smart Communications announced on Monday, December 26, that they will be offering free calls and set up charging stations in areas that were affected by Typhoon Nina.

    Services offered by Smart will be available from December 27 to 30, 2016, from 8:30AM to 5:30PM, and in the following areas:

    • Sorsogon City: LPMC Building, Rizal Street – free calls and charging stations
    • Naga City: Trader’s Square Building, General Luna Street – free calls and charging stations
    • Naga City: Quick Trax marketing, Diversion Road – charging stations
    • Pili, Camarines Sur: Omega Building – free calls and charging stations]

    Residents may also go to the following locations to avail of the free calls and the charging stations from December 27-28, 9:00AM to 5:00PM:

    • Cruz, Marinduque: Broadway Marketing, Mabini Street, Barangay Pag-asa – free calls
    • Boac, Marinduque: Broadway Marketing, Mercader Street, Barangay San Miguel – free calls and charging stations

    In a Facebook post, Smart Communications announced that they were already able to restore 86% of Smart’s cell sites in the 14 provinces of Southern Luzon. They have also released the list of areas heavily affected by the typhoon. These are the following provinces:

    • Catanduanes
    • Marinduque
    • Albay
    • Camarines Sur
    • Romblon

    Smart also assured its customers that its team are already dispatched to repair the damages and fully restore its services in the regions affected by the typhoon.
