Palawan dubbed as ‘World’s Best Island’ by travel magazine
Palawan is now known to be the World’s Best Island for Beaches and Natural Attractions, as cited by the online travel website, Travel + Leisure (T+L). Trailing behind Palawan are the islands of Ischia in Italy (3rd), Santorini in Greece (5th), and Maui in Hawaii (7th).
The majestic island of Palawan is known to be the best island to the world.
Besides the majestic island of Palawan, there are 2 other islands in the Philippine archipelago which made it to the list: Boracay and Cebu, ranking 2nd and 6th respectively.
The islands which were in the list were ranked by T+L’s readers based on “their activities and sights, natural attractions and beaches, food, friendliness, and overall value.” The rankings of the islands in the list show that the Philippines is one of the top destinations for travellers who are looking for the rewarding sight of clear blue waters and white sand beaches.
Cebu is most notable for its crystal blue waters and powdery white beaches.
Not all the sights in the list were located in distant, remote islands. Just like the Hilton Head in North Carolina, there are also some islands in developed areas, where people could enjoy luxurious, yet comfortable facilities.
May it be in the Philippines or in the other countries, there surely is one thing in common with every island in the list: the beauty that keeps every traveller and tourist back for more.
