According to Manila Bulletin’s report, Emperador announced that the company has purchased through its Spanish subsidiary Bodegas Las Copas the brands of Mexico’s Pernod Ricard, namely Azteca de Oro, Don Pedro, and Mexico’s No. 1 selling brandy, the Presidente.

As per Emperador President Winston Co, “this recent acquisition fits perfectly with our strategy to fortify Emperador’s status as the No. 1 brandy company in the world.”

In 2014, Emperador also acquired Glasgow’s Whyte and Mackay whiskey, and also the brandy and sherry business of Beam Suntory under Beam Spain SL.
