Christmas is definitely just around the corner as Light Rail Manila Corporation, the operation of the Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1) has launched the LRT-1 Christmas Train last November 28, Monday, which is less than a month before Christmas.
Several commuters shuffling in and out of the train had expressed their delight in the Christmas-themed trained. In a tweet compiled by ABS-CBN News , there were images of Christmas ornaments hanging on the window and surrounding the interior, parol images plastered on the ceilings, candy-striped poles embellishing the train.
In an interview conducted by CNN Philippines, the LRMC corporate communications head, Rochelle Gamboa said that the company intentionally did not put a holiday mask on the outside of the train to surprise commuters and that the Christmas Train is part of a small project to lighten up the mood of the passenger.
Gamboa also said that they will launch a selfie contest this week for riders of the Christmas train. The train will run until January 8, 2017.
