  • Uber introduces UberCommute
  • As part of their #SolveTraffic campaign, Uber launches UberCommute in the Philippines.

UberCommute is Uber Philippines’ newest way to solve traffic, a platform which allows people who drive themselves to work to share their drive and split the cost of their trip, all while making the most of the cars already in Manila roads.

This scheme will be available from and to specific cities during weekday rush hours, during 5:00 am to 10:00 am and 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm in Manila, Makati, or Fort BGC areas. This efficient way is made by Uber to offer rides to their fellow commuters a convenient ride, all while sharing split the cost of gas, maintenance, and other fees with the rider-commuters they pick up.

Using UberCommute can help a driver-commuter save up to P 10.00 for every kilometer of travel, while a rider-commuter can save up to 30% off the cost of the usual uberX fare.

To use UberCommute, simply log into the Uber Driver app during the indicated hours above, indicate the final destination, and the app will automatically show requests from rider-commuters heading to the same city at the same time. For rider-commuters, you can see the UberCommute option on your Uber app and request for a ride.

To #ShareYourDrive, you only need to follow basic steps to sign up. Read more about UberCommute on their website.
