Newly appointed chairman of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Martin Diño had recently announced that the first-ever bullet train would be built in between Subic and Zambales in Pampanga through a Public-Private Partnership program with a firm in China.

Compared to the Manila Metro Rail Transit and Light Rail Transit trains which run at an average of 40kph, Diño said that the bullet train is said to eye from Subic to Clark and vice-versa spanning 60 kilometers.

According to Diño, this project would be discussed during the trade and investment mission to China led by President Rodrigo Duterte himself this coming October 18-21, 2016.
