After two decades, the Philippines is up again for another glam-packed night as the country hosts the 65th Miss Universe Pageant.
Earlier in August, Okada Manila confirmed that it will be the official residence of Miss Universe 2017 pageant contestants once the competition gets staged in Manila January next year.
Okada Manila is the newest and biggest integrated resort in Pagcor Entertainment City. The US $2.4 billion entertainment complex is expected to feature two Y-shaped hotel towers, with an 8,409 square-meter retail space and 21 self-operated restaurants for casual and fine dining. Okada Manila is targeted to have a soft opening by November this year.
Miss Universe Pageant was held in Manila for the first time in 1974, when Miss Universe 1973 Margarita Moran crowned Amparo Muñoz of Spain. In 1994, the pageant came back to the country where India’s Sushmita Sen was crowned by Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres.
The 65th Miss Universe pageant is scheduled on January 30, 2017 in the Philippines.
