Mistubishi launches 2016 Mirage at Solaire Resort and Casino

While it was already revealed at the 2016 Manila International Auto Show, no one could get the 2016 Mitsubishi Mirage last April 7. Fans of the Mirage, however, did not have to wait long as the 2016 edition was officially launched last April 29 at the Grand Ballroom of the Solaire Resort and Casino in Pasay City.

 

NEW LOOK, SAME GREAT RIDE. The 2016 Mitsubishi Mirage with some of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s (MMPC) top executives.

 

Yoshiaki Kato, president and CEO of MMPC, lead the way for other MMPC execs to unveil the refreshed 2016 Mirage. A sportier Mirage was unveiled at the grand launch, with the GLS variant having Bi-xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps and LED-type position lamps. Both the GLS and GLX sport new wheels: the GLS gets 15-inch two-tones and the GLX gets 14-inch alloy wheels.

Welcome and coming home lights were also added to the 2016 Mirage. The front and rear lamps stay on for 30 seconds when the doors are unlocked via keyless entry. This makes it easier for car owners to get to their car at night.

Two new colors were also introduced at the launch, Wine Red Pearl and Sunrise Orange. The Mirage will likewise be available in seven other colors: Cool Silver, Majestic Red, Medium Blue Mica, Virgil Gray, Aurora White, Savanna White and Pyrenese Black.

MMPC also introduced their newest endorsers, Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards, during the launch. Though not present at the event, they thanked MMPC for the opportunity via a video message during the Mirage TV commercial shoot. You can expect the TVC on Philippine TV later this year.

You can get the 2016 Mitsubishi Mirage at your local dealer for the suggested retail price of P553,000 for the GLX MT, P603,000 for the GLX CVT, P663,000 for the GLS MT and the top of the line GLS CVT for P713,000.
