Gallery Vask hailed as one of Asia’s Best Restaurants for 2016
Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2016 was announced last Monday, February 29, and it featured one of the Philippine’s best: Gallery Vask, located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
CONGRATULATIONS! Gallery Vask is recognized as the 39th Best Restaurant in Asia, and the Best Restaurant in the Philippines.
Gallery Vask’s concepts was described by William Reed Business Media as being “set in a constantly evolving art space inspired by people, nature, memories, textures, techniques, travels and history.” True to form, their ever-changing menu is now 100% Filipino, a change of gears from their initial Spanish-inspired line-up with a Filipino twist.
Gallery Vask’s Tiradito was hailed as their standout dish. Tiradito is Chef Chele Gonzalez’s take on kinilaw, essentially the Filipino version of ceviche. He coats raw tuna loin in coconut milk flavoured with kuzu and tabon-tabon, a sour fruit found in Northern Mindanao.

Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants is an annual award given by William Reed Business Media, honouring the best restaurants in all of Asia. It takes in votes from six regions: India & Subcontinent; South-East Asia – South; South-East Asia – North; Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau; mainland China & Korea; and Japan.
The list is created by the Diners Club® Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, an influential group of over 300 leaders in the restaurant industry across Asia, each selected for their expert opinion of Asia’s restaurant scene.
