Color Manila Nite Run: Painting the Town Neon
During the Black Light Edition of this infamous night fun run, Philippine Primer measured just how far we can glow.
.
THOUSANDS OF PARTICIPANTS glowed neon at the event that night.
.
After the successful Watsons Color Manila Challenge, we definitely wanted more. And apparently, so did thousands of excited participants in their dri-fit shirts, headlamps and rubber shoes as we all flocked to Filinvest City, Alabang last May 16, 2015 for Color Manila Nite Run: Black Light Edition.
.
NEON COLORS EVERYWHERE. Dance and music kicked off the fun run.
.
The fun run was not a timed event, so there were a lot of participants who opted to walk around the park. There were some, of course, who took it quite seriously and ran all the way. It doesn’t matter, though, whether one walked or ran for, as we reached the UV-lit race stations, everyone was showered with an abundance of UV neon colors! At the end of the race, we were instructed to collect our color pallet (pink, orange, blue, green and orange), for us to throw at the best race party ever. All products were 100% natural and certified non-toxic, which proves that Color Manila Run is definitely a family-friendly event.

The after-party was crazy colorful! We never knew we can handle that much color and glow as bright as a neon star on a cool summer night!
The already very colorful night was made even more colorful by a surprise made to a lucky woman named Olive: a wedding proposal! The crowd went nuts as everyone anticipated Olive’s reply.
.
AN UNEXPECTED HIGHLIGHT. This man in love got on one colorful knee and asked for Olive’s neon hand in marriage.
.
And guess what? SHE. SAID. YES! Party!
The Color Manila Black Light Edition is an awesome celebration of stunning lights, music and smiling faces. All participants were spent and messy, but happy despite looking like unrecognizable mutant ninja turtles. Even though it’s not a real real race, it was nice to see people out under the moonlight, having fun with their friends and family and doing something healthy for themselves.
We can’t wait for the next color run.
.
THAT SKY! Nighttime has never been this colorful.
