UNIQLO Welcomes 15th Store in the Philippines with an Evening for VIP Shoppers
Continuing its expansion in the Philippines, UNIQLO opened its much-anticipated store in Eastwood City, a live-work-play enclave located in Quezon City. The new store marks the brand’s first endeavor with Megaworld Corporation.
Executives from international companies, media, bloggers and select residents were treated to cocktails and exclusive giveaways during a VIP Shopping event and soft opening last June 18, 2014 to preview the store before the public opening last June 20, 2014.
Ms. Geraldine Sia, General Manager of Fast Retailing Philippines Inc. welcomed guests and expressed her appreciation for the Eastwood community’s warm welcome of UNIQLO, “We are happy to be part of Eastwood’s community. This is a place where people live, work and play, and we believe that UNIQLO has a chance to touch all these aspects of life.”
Currently, UNIQLO’s network of stores consists of 15 branches in the Philippines: SM Megamall, SM City Fairview, SM City North Edsa, SM City Clark, SM City BF Parañaque, SM City Pampanga, SM City Dasmariñas, SM Aura Premier, SM Mall of Asia, Glorietta 5, Robinsons Place Manila, SM City Rosales, Gateway Mall, Century City Mall, and now, in Eastwood City.
The company envisions several additional locations to launch within the year, and given this expansion, is set to hire hundreds of store associates.
