  • Hakuba 47: The Ultimate Ski Resort in Nagano
  • One of the most popular ski resorts in the area is Hakuba 47. The name comes from the idea of “4 seasons, 7 days a week.” The resort offers a variety of terrain for different types of skiers. This, along with the quality if their snow, sets Hakuba 47 apart from other resorts in Hakuba Valley.

    Cable Car Station

There are plenty of lifts to take you to the top of the mountain. You get excellent views of Hakuba once you go up the gandola. The lift takes five minutes to reach the top. There’s also a restaurant, souvenir shops, and rest rooms for those who would like to take a short break from the cold.

There are restaurants available at Hakuba 47

For beginners, the resort offers ski and snowboard lessons in English which is quite convenient. It’s a great place for a beginner to experience the slopes. Don’t worry if you are not good on your first try. Remember: everyone was once beginners to the sport, so go ahead and ski away!

    Learning how to ski

If you’re not used to be to the freezing weather like most Filipinos, learning how to ski may be a challenge as the temperature gets below zero degree Celsius. But learning how to ski takes patience and dedication. Luckily, there are guides that have the patience of a great teacher. It can be a physical one, but will sure be worth it.

Hakuba 47 is a few kilometers away by road from Hakuba train station and 5 km rom Happo, the main tourist hub of Hakuba Valley.
