Miyago Fruit Farm in Hokkaido, Japan

Japanese fruits are sweet and delicious, especially apples. If you happen to like apple as much as we do, then a detour to Miyago Fruit Farm is a must.

There are 30 kinds of apples and 3,000 trees planted in this farm. Some of the popular ones are the Ourin apple and the Red Gold Apple. They don’t use too much fertilizer to preserve the sweetness of the apple. For two weeks in October, you can also find prune trees at the Miyago Fruit Farm.

You can smell the scent of the apples as you walk around the farm. For fruit picking, tourists can harvest two apples straight from the branch for ¥500, or buy four apples for ¥500 at their store. You can even rent a tree and grow your own apples for ¥12,000. A tree here can produce 100 apples in one season. Apple season is from October to November.
