

One way to cap off a long day of touring is to soak your feet in a natural hot spring. This free foot bath is about 20 minutes away from the Jigokudani viewing point on foot. The hot spring river flows from Lake Oyunuma, where the high-temperature onsen wells up. What gives the water the right temperature is the combination of natural river water and spring water.


Tip: Bring a towel to dry your feet if you’re wearing closed shoes.
