Caruso Ristorante Italiano to Hold “Tra Mare e Campagna” Wine Pairing Event on April 30
Caruso Ristorante Italiano invites guests to an elegant evening of fine food and thoughtfully selected wines with its upcoming Wine Pairing Event on April 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Designed as a curated culinary experience in partnership with My Wine, the event promises a refined journey through Italian flavors under the theme Tra Mare e Campagna, which directly translates to “Between Sea & Countryside.”

The specially prepared menu highlights a graceful balance between freshness from the sea and richness from the land, with each course matched with wines that complement and elevate the dining experience. Guests will begin the evening with a welcome drink of Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG by Loredan Gasperini, setting a celebratory tone from the very first pour.

The meal opens with a Trio di Antipasti, beginning with Spiedino di Gamberi al Pesto Genovese, a grilled shrimp skewer coated in fragrant pesto sauce that brings brightness and herbaceous depth, paired with Langhe DOC Arneis “Runcneuv” – Roberto Sarotto.
This is followed by Carpaccio di Manzo al Balsamico, featuring thinly sliced beef accented with balsamic glaze, parmesan, arugula, and capers for a savory and slightly tangy bite, paired with Dolcetto d’Alba DOC “Angeli” – Roberto Sarotto.

Completing the trio is Burratina con Insalata di Stagione, where fresh burratina is paired with seasonal greens, olive oil, and balsamic glaze for a light and creamy contrast. This is paired with Langhe DOC Arneis “Runcneuv” – Roberto Sarotto.
For pasta, diners will be served Ravioloni Emiliani Ripieni al Burro e Salvia, homemade ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta, then finished in butter and sage for a comforting and delicate plate. This is paired with Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi “Bric Sassi” – Roberto Sarotto.

The main courses continue the event’s sea-and-countryside theme with Cernia alla Griglia su Puré di Patate, con Capperi e Olive, a grilled grouper paired with mashed potato, capers, and olives, paired with Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi “Bric Sassi” – Roberto Sarotto. This is followed by Stinco d’Agnello Brasato, a tender braised lamb shank served with saffron risotto, best paired with Barolo DOCG – Roberto Sarotto.
To end on a sweet note, Panna Cotta al Mango offers a silky vanilla cream dessert brightened with mango, best paired with Solacio Moscato D’ Asti – Roberto Sarotto.
