Embark on an Adventure at Cosplay Carnival 2020 This April

Updated as of March 13, 2020. Cosplay Carnival 2020 has been postponed in light of the COVID-19 situation. As per the announcement made by the event on their official Facebook page, the event is set to be rescheduled at a later date. 

For the first event in Cosplay Mania’s 2020 event series titled “Isekai Adventure,” convention-goers will be treated to a grand adventure at Cosplay Carnival 2020! Happening on April 18 to 19, 2020 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay, the event invites guests to unlock the first chapter of the Isekai Adventure and overcome the challenges that await you.

You can expect festivities here to be reminiscent of your favorite fantasy game complete with magic, challenges, and even NPCs (Non-playable characters)!

This year’s Cosplay Carnival boasts an exciting fantasy theme. Aptly named “Carnyx Vale,” it is the first event in the Cosplay Manila series that kicks-off one of the most anticipated event series in the hobby community.

While activities have yet to be announced, Cosplay Carnival has already revealed one of the guests that will be gracing the convention—Plant Lily. She is a Vietnamese cosplayer known for her portrayals of the virtual Youtuber Kizuna Ai, Mashu Kyrielight from the Fate franchise, and Zero Two from Darling in the Franxx among others.

Cosplay Carnival has also revealed an interactive photo booth where convention-goers can pose for their photos. The photo booth, called “Truck-kun” is inspired by anime and manga under the reincarnation or rebirth genre where this white truck is often seen in connection to the series protagonist.

Cosplay Carnival is organized by Cosplay.ph. It is the first of four events in the Cosplay Mania event series that also includes the Anime and Cosplay Expo (ACX), Cosplay Mania, and Cosplay Matsuri.
