Art In Island Presents Event Line-Up For #ECOChallenge 2019
This 2019, Art In Island aims to raise awareness and promote the need to preserve, protect, and restore the Earth through art. Hence, it is set to conduct a series of events, promos, and art competitions in coordination with their theme, #ECOChallenge.

Art In Island presents their trademark events and annual art competitions: the Mural Competition from September 3 to 8 for Filipino artists aged 18 and above, and the On-the-Spot Painting Competition on September 28 for Filipino students aged 11 to 17.
With these events, the museum hopes to spread the word that the Earth is in need of our help—and that we can help in our little ways.
Along with the Mural Competition, the museum also introduces the Mural Fest. Mural Fest is a week-long celebration of art where everyone is invited to paint murals.
Take note that for all the events, pre-registration is required.
The event series started last May 3 with their ‘Palit Bote’ #EcobrickChallenge.
Said challenge encourages the public to turn their non-biodegradable wastes into eco-bricks that can be exchanged for free admission to Art In Island Museum. The eco-bricks are plastic bottles packed and stuffed tight with non-biodegradable wastes, such as plastic bags, sachets, plastic straws, and another plastic packaging.
For a corresponding number of eco-bricks, guests are given free museum admission.

Donated eco-bricks will be given to organizations and communities that will benefit from using the eco-bricks in their builds.
In addition, Art In Island makes eco-bricking more convenient and accessible to everyone by being one of the official drop-off points in Quezon City.
Art In Island aspires to be an eco-friendly establishment that supports the zero-waste and plastic-free movement. Through Ecobrick Seminar Workshops, everyone can learn proper waste management and along with the Eco Market, guests can find local eco-friendly products that will help you live a zero-waste lifestyle.
