Big Bad Wolf Book Sale first invaded the country in 2018, recognizing it as the biggest and cheapest book sale ever happened in Manila. It continues to draw massive crowds of book geeks since it was founded in 2009 in Malaysia.

Majority of the books in the fair are from the BookXcess, a book store dealing in excess or unsold books from international publishers and distributors.
