Cosplay Matsuri 2018 Is Happening this December 28 to 30!
Celebrate culture with the art of Cosplay and festivities at this year’s Cosplay Matsuri, happening on December 28 to 30, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City.
Since their debut in 2016, the uniqueness of Cosplay Matsuri has set it apart from the other anime-related conventions in the country. Taking inspiration from Japan, the convention boasts creative activities like their Sumo Skirmish, Dokuen Solo Cosplay, Doujin Group Cosplay, Charms Wall and the Anisong It Singing Contest. The convention is an incredible year-end celebration.
Cosplay Matsuri is part of the Cosplay Mania event series that is hosted by one of the most prominent hobby organizations in the Philippines, Cosplay.ph. Cosplay Matsuri is the last event for their 2018 event series.

Now on their third year, Cosplay Matsuri has tripled in size, covering three of SMX Convention Center Manila’s function rooms. Adding to the size of their venue, Cosplay Matsuri has also enhanced their ambiance by adding towering Torii Gates to the Japanese lanterns that are spread throughout the venue.

The variety of anime goods at the venue has increased along with deals that are available to all. If that’s not enough, the event will also hold a Cosplay Auction with deals starting at Php 1. Their Storage Wars and Mystery Box segments also promise amazing finds with surprising variety and exciting twists.
Cosplay Matsuri 2018 upped their game by bringing in amazing Cosplay guests: Hisui from Hong Kong, Diane from Cebu City, as well as, Kimina and Kiyorami from Japan in partnership with One Final Dream. One of the country’s Japanese Dance Cover group, Seishun Kakumei, will also be performing at the event.
