The Science of Beer and Brewing: Workshop No. 1
Want to have a good drink in a cozy afternoon? First, learn about the “Basics of Beer Brewing”, first from a series of talks and workshops “The Science of Beer and Brewing” starting this July 21, 2018, 4 p.m. at the Nipa Brew Taproom & Brewhouse in Makati.
Hosted by Nipa Brew, in partnership with The Professor’s Brew, the workshop will let participants get to learn more beyond the science of beer and brewing. There will be classes for everyone to do what drinkers love to do–brew and drink craft beer.
The workshop will cover topics on the process of making of beer and how the flavors are developed. They will go through each stage of brewing and the ways that the ingredients are used, down to the best part: BEER TASTING! They will also hold a short tour of the microbrewery where people can see all the equipment they use in the process.
The head brewer of The Professor’s Brew, Carlo Ng, will be the speaker of the event. He is a Chemistry professor from De La Salle University.
Everyone must wait for the next part of the series that will focus on recipe development, delving deeper into how the various ingredients can contribute to the profile of the beer and how much of the ingredients would normally compose certain beer styles.
