  • In promoting art and culture in the Philippines, the Audience Development Department of the Ayala Museum has created the stART! Program for kids. A continuation of last year’s Summer stART! program, kids will not only learn how to appreciate different artistic styles but will also see how art is integrated with other fields through the st’ART! STEAM summer program.

    They’ll be having different workshops mostly in Science, Math, Technology, Engineering, and Art. Children aged 6 to 12 years old are encouraged to join and participate, this summer workshop that will improve and entertain them at the same time.

    Art is all around us and is integrated into scientific, technological, mathematical, and engineering concepts! Learn a different way of looking and appreciating some branches of science, concepts in math and engineering by doing different arts and crafts activities:

     

    APRIL 14, 2018 | 2:00-5:30PM
    CONCEPT: Chemistry and Color Theory

    Using the scientific method as the process, learn how to mix colors, gradients, and tints to create your own palette.  After creating your own palette, learn the basics of doing abstract paintings inspired by the works of Alfonso Ossorio.

    CONCEPT: Geometry and Pattern Making

    Learn how to create the patterns seen on the textiles by applying concepts of geometry in your art-making process.

    Is Erwin Wurm’s world a world without gravity? See the exhibition of Erwin Wurm, learn how to photograph his pieces using any gadget with a camera and know how gravity can play a part in making your own artworks by doing drop paintings.

    Seek inspiration from the colors you see around you and apply that in coloring sheets based on Father Blanco’s works. Make your own landscape snapshots by creating your own mini terrariums!

    Our ancestors were already oriented with simple engineering concepts! Learn how to make simple tools and machines that were also used by our ancestors using clay and other materials.

     Astronomy, Navigation and the Art of Boat Making
    In the early days, navigators and explorers depend on the stars for direction. Make your miniature boats inspired by the designs seen on the Maritime vessels exhibition and know how to create your own galaxies through using watercolor techniques

    st’ART’s per-session rates are as follows:

    • Regular: Php 750
    • Ayala Museum, AGC, ARC members: Php 675
    • GROUP RATE: Php 650*
      *applicable if you are registering two or more kids
