PUSO NG DIWA. This installation by Leo Gerardo is inspired by the Higantes of Angono

Following the theme, “Paskong Pinoy”, artist Leo Gerardo took inspiration of the Higantes of Angono – as well as the mythical creatures of Bagobo and Manobo – and created an artwork that reflected his own take and vision of the Filipino Christmas tree. Through this piece, he wanted to relive spirit of Christmas – one that focuses on the concept of nurturing, giving and receiving, healing, and uniting.

The two projects, which will be launched on Thursday, do not only showcase the creativity and the craftsmanship of the Filipino artists, but it also highlights the spirit of the traditional Christmas in the Philippines.
