  • The 47th performance season of Ballet Philippines entitled “Wings” will begin with “Firebird and Other Ballets.”

    Happening from August 19 to 21 at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo or CCP Main Theater of Cultural Center of the Philippines, “The Firebird” is a classical ballet performance which will feature Igor Stravinsky’s remarkable orchestral piece. The show will narrate a story of timeless love and adventure and will highlight a mixed bill of contemporary and neo-classical works by David Campos, Dwight Rodrigazo, Carlo Pacis and an all-new Firebird by Russian-born choreographer George Birkadze.

    Casting includes Rita Angela Winder and Jemima Reyes as the Firebird, Jean Marc Cordero and Garry Corpuz will play the Pearl Merchant from the Silk Road, Denise Parungao and Monica Amanda Gana will be the Princess From the Land of Spices, and Cyril Aran Fallar and Victor Maguad as Koschei the Immortal.
