LIST: Installation Sites For Auto Sweep and Easy Trip RFID Tags

Radio Frequency Identification Tags, most commonly known as RFID tags are no stranger to motorists as the country has been using this system for years as an option for toll booth payments.

This year, as the country carefully adjusts to the new normal, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) released Department Order 2020-012, signed on August 13, 2020, which directs concerned agencies of the DOTr to map out new processes and procedures to make sure that contactless transactions on toll expressways will be implemented smoothly and swiftly.

For those who are still unfamiliar, Auto sweep RFID can be used at Skyway, SLEX, NAIAX, STAR Tollway, MCX, and TPLEX, while Easytrip RFID can only be used at NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, and CALAX.

Meanwhile, for Easy trip RFID, their toll booths are still available for enrollment and registration but for those who would like to set an appointment, you may visit this link: mptc.outsystemsenterprise.com/easytripRegistration.

The deadline for RFID installation and the full implementation of cashless transactions in toll roads is on December 1, 2020. Motorists who fail to install RFID stickers in their vehicles before entering an expressway or a toll road would be issued citations and fined after the December 1 deadline for mandatory cashless transactions on toll roads.
