  • Kermit Siargao Resort: The Best Surf Camp in the Island
  • It is safe to say that the sea has always occupied a significant space in Gianni Grifoni’s being. It first happened when he came to the Philippines 14 years ago for a surf trip and fell in love with Siargao from then on.

It happened the second time when he came back to the island after finishing his studies, and established Kermit Siargao in 2010, born out of his love for the sea, the locals, as well as his passion for hotel and restaurant management.

He would call it lame how he named Kermit Siargao, when it clearly was a work of a genius when he named the resort and restaurant after his significant research in Hawaii regarding monk seals, which they would like to call “Kermit”.

With his passion underway, Kermit Siargao boomed from a place with just two cottages and one small kitchen to a laid-back, well-loved backpacker resort with deluxe rooms, cottages, native bungalows, as well as a restaurant that is always full to the brim at the struck of 5 p.m. onwards.

Kermit Siargao boasts of its restaurant and small bar, which serve great Italian food, cocktails, and beers

Feel the local tropical vibe by staying at Kermit Siargao Surf Resort’s Lokal Cottage, which sports a wide terrace with bean bags for chairs as a relaxing spot after the day’s activities!

At Php 2,500 per night, enjoy a pristine air-conditioned room for two with your own bathroom, free wifi and drinking water, and essentials like towels and toilet papers to complete your stay!

One Native Bungalow, for example, sports two queen-sized beds and a spacious bathroom. Among the available Native Bungalows are the Family, Island, and Kermit.
