THE FUNNY LION. The great hideaway place for a quiet vacation.

The Funny Lion is a hotel established in November 2014 that welcomes guests who want to have the best spot to relax in Coron. Just 15 minutes away from the town proper, The Funny Lion gives its guest a peaceful place to be in, especially that most tourists would like to have an accommodation that will give them time to be stress free after adventure trips by the day.

The Funny Lion got its name from the safari of the Calauit Island, where it is the only safari that does not have a lion. So it was decided that there should be a lion present, hence the name of the hotel.

The Funny Lion has a total of 31 rooms that can accommodate a range of 80-90 guests all in all. Its peak season starts during the summer, where the hotel is usually fully booked.

The Funny Lion has three types of rooms namely the cub room, King room, and the pride rock room. The cub room costs about 7,000 that is inclusive of breakfast and use of amenities. For King’s room, it costs P7,500 per night. All rooms are well-equipped with TV and personal restrooms. The hotel has 32 rooms but one of them is a massage room that has a separate rate from the room accommodation.

On the third floor, is where the bar’s located. It is a bar atop the hotel with an overlooking view of the bay where tours are held, so it has a perfect backdrop for the place. It also has a great sunset view which makes it one of the best places to hang out at night. It has two small pools which guests can use if they want to relax and chill with friends. There are seats available for those who choose to drink than swim. For those who want a bigger pool, there is an infinity pool located beside the hotel restaurant where guests can swim more freely.

If you’re an environment-friendly kind of traveler, The Funny Lion is the place you want to stay in because they use solar panels for their water heater. The hotel has an ECO program that aims to protect the environment, culture, and heritage especially in Coron. Also, they use treatment plants so that they can recycle water.

The Funny Lion also makes sure that they help small communities in their own ways so they do outreach activities such as book reading and donations to give back to the community. If you want your money well-spent which can help other people, this place is a great opportunity to help people in Coron.

Another commendable thing in the hotel is that they have staff who trained for personalized service to help their guests. Since most of their guests are foreigners, they make sure that they help the tourists get to know and love the place more through their services.

In the long run, The Funny Lion aims to dominate the service industry in Coron. Staying at Funny Lion is a perfect choice for a quiet spot in the place and also, it gives you the satisfaction to help out other people while at the same time, enjoying services. See the Funny Lion and have a great hotel experience like no other.
