  • Swedish fashion brand Monki is set to enter the Philippine fashion scene as it will open not only one but two Manila branches this coming summer of 2020.

    Monki’s new Manila stores are slated to be located at two of the largest shopping centers in the country—SM Megamall, where the first store will open, followed by another branch in SM Mall of Asia.


    Known for its creative fashion collections that empowers young women, Monki is a fashion brand born in 2006 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Two years after its fashion debut, the Swedish brand then joined the H&M Group as one of its fashion brands catering to markets across Europe and Asia.

    The brand’s signature fashion collections revolve around a strong mix of Scandinavian cool and street style is described as “Scandi-cool-meets-Asian-street-style”.


    Its concept of being “brave, friendly, and fun” is purposely made for individual styling, offering fashion ensembles from essentials to stand-out pieces at competitive prices. The brand experience aims to inspire everyone to feel great about themselves and for others as well.

    “Monki’s mission is to empower young women everywhere and help them feel good about themselves. We can’t wait to get to know a new market and welcome new customers to our global family,” Monki Managing Director Jennie Dahlin Hansson.


    Filipino customers should expect the brand’s much-awaited Manila retail branch to be transformed into a world of glitter, mirrored walls, and scallop detailing unique from other Monki stores worldwide.

    Currently, Monki has 127 stores, 19 store markets, and 19 online markets worldwide.
