  • The Peacock Garden in Baclayon, Bohol provides their guests with a serene environment, exemplary dining experience, natural spa treatments and picturesque views that would give for an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The hotel first opened in 2008 but had their Grand Inauguration in 2009. Since then, The Peacock Garden has been one of the most ideal holiday getaway locations.

     

    The hotel is a family-owned business that brings European and Old World elements to create a spellbinding ambiance that will take you on a trip back in time. They combine their interiors with only the best Filipino hospitality to make for a truly relaxing experience.

    The hotel has three room types. First is their Deluxe Sea View (starts at 10,800/night). Guests can choose between one king bed or two twin beds. This makes up the first building of the hotel rooms. While all the rooms give guests a view of the sea and the garden, the views give guests a different experience that will still guarantee to take their breaths away.

    The second room type makes up the second building. The Premier Infinity Sea View (starts at P12,750/night) allows guests on the second floor to the view of their romantic infinity pool and a view of the sea from their balconies. The rooms on the first floor are ideal for those who enjoy lounging and spending time in the pool as these rooms are only a few steps away from the pool.

    The Peacock Suite (starts at P15,000/night) provides guests with an opulent living space and a picturesque view of the garden. The room has one king bed and has its own dining and lounge area. It is ideal for couples who want to have a getaway for themselves. The rooms are located on top of their restaurant building.

    Their restaurant, Laya, brings together continental and local flavors. It also has touches of history, particularly, memoirs of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. They also have a wine cellar with a vast collection of wine with some dating back to a few centuries ago. Guests can choose to dine in the restaurant within the wine cellar but keep in mind that, in order to preserve the wine, they cannot adjust the temperature of the room which gets quite cold.

    They also have a room equipped with a disco dance floor, karaoke, and table games. It’s the ideal hangout for those who are traveling in groups as they can party and sing to their heart’s content. While this room is generally open to the public, groups can also arrange to rent the room for private functions provided that they coordinate with the front desk regarding their event and the fees.

    The hotel also has an open-air game lounge where guests can play Table Tennis, Darts and Billiards among others.

    The Peacock Garden also prides in their Fontana Aurelia Spa as they were the only Philippine Spa that was included in the 2012 Conde Nast Johansens Luxury Spas. They offer treatments for individuals as well as for couples. Their spa is also equipped with a sauna and jacuzzi that guests can enjoy when they avail of their treatments.

    How to get here:

    • For guests staying at The Peacock Garden, the hotel offers shuttle services from the airport or the seaport going to and from the hotel. They also offer shuttle services going to the city.
    • By private car: It’s recommended that you go to the Peacock Garden via private car as the roads leading to the hotel are quite steep. The hotel is around a 20-minute drive if you’re coming from Tagbilaran City and a 40-minute drive if you’re coming from Panglao.
