  • Manila PubCrawl: An Expat-Friendly Place for Making New Friends (CLOSED)
  • Are you a traveler who wants a tour of Makati or BGC? Or an expat who wants to meet new friends? Or a party animal who loves happy places?

If you are one or all of the above, Manila PubCrawl is the right place for you. Held every Saturday night in varying areas and themes, Manila PubCrawl is a bar-hopping tour that focuses on making friends. Groups are usually very diverse, consisting of locals, young professionals, expats, and tourists from different countries.

Manila PubCrawl groups are very diverse.

    Where different nationalities meet.

PubCrawl was started five years ago in Boracay by a German expat who wanted an easier way for people, especially expats and backpackers, to make new friends. The whole concept of PubCrawl is summed up in its slogan: “Turn strangers into friends.”

With the same vibe and the same goal of building friendships, PubCrawl was brought to Manila just a few years after Boracay.

Manila PubCrawl currently has three routes: Makati Route, BGC Route, and Jeepney Edition, which are scheduled in rotations.

The bars included in Makati Route are A’Toda Madre Tequila Bar, H&J Sports Bar, Empingao!, Cabin Bar and Bistro, and Royal Club, which are all located in the nightlife district of Poblacion, Makati.

In BGC Route, you will get access to many of the hottest clubs in the area, like Valkyrie Nightclub, The Palace Pool Club, Prive Luxury Club, Hideout VIP Club, Cable Car, Voodoo Lounge, and Aracama Manila.

While you go all out on foot in the first two routes, the Jeepney Edition takes you on a very Pinoy jeepney ride to bars around Makati, BGC, and Pasay. The jeepney is air-conditioned and has karaoke, so you are sure to enjoy the whole drive.

    Talk casually with new friends.

    Play fun games.

    Dance to the beat!

The whole event is filled with fun games that encourage interactions and fellowship. Led by a “captain” (event host), pub crawls usually start with an icebreaker game of self-introductions, wherein “crawlers” (participants) are supposed to find something in common with other crawlers. When free shots are given, you are supposed to link arms and drink your shot with another crawler.

    Manila PubCrawl freebies

A regular ticket for Makati Route costs Php 690, BGC Route costs Php 890, and Jeepney Edition costs Php 990. If you book early, you can get tickets at early bird rates. Joining the event will get you freebies like a Manila PubCrawl baller band and button pin, a shot glass, and free shooters.
