  • Banaue Hotel and Youth Hostel: An Old World Charm Offering Elegance In Every Stay
  • If you feel like going all out with your Banaue vacation, book yourself in this fine hotel that emanates an old world charm and elegance like no other.

A TIEZA-accredited hotel, Banaue Hotel and Youth Hostel is among the most popular accommodations in Banaue. It is also known as the first ever hotel built in Ifugao.

Since it was established back in 1969, Banaue Hotel has been quite an in-demand accommodation in the area that even locals truly recommend this place to tourists. Although it is not a 5-star hotel, a lot of travelers might prefer staying here for the comfortable accommodation they provide.

Banaue Hotel will immediately remind you of an old wooden mansion. The first thing you will see as you enter the hotel is the simple yet grand lobby, which is mostly made up of an exquisite panel of pinewood from the floor up to the ceiling. Even their deluxe rooms are furnished with pinewood panels and furniture!

This hotel has a total of 110 rooms, which consists of 4 suites (Php 7,000/night), 36 deluxe rooms (Php 3,000/night), and 34 standard rooms (Php 2,300/night). Whatever type of room you get, you will witness the breathtaking view of the Cordillera mountains with either the sunrise or sunset as the backdrop.

However, they do not have an air conditioner unit in every room as the temperature gets cold during nighttime so all you have to do is open the windows to let the cold breeze in your room.

Their in-house restaurant called Imbayah Restaurant serves buffet breakfast for all their guests and an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. They offer a menu of all known Ifugao native dishes, such as Pinikpikan, a chicken dish cooked by beating the chicken whilst cooking.

If you are to eat your breakfast here, make sure to pick the table beside the window. That way, you’ll surely enjoy your meal whilst taking in the beautiful morning view of the Cordillera mountains and rice terraces with the stunning sunrise in the background.

Of course, a stay here wouldn’t be complete without having a drink or two at the Guihob Cocktail Lounge. You can also play billiards there, and spend a karaoke night with friends. Plus, they also offer massage services in case you feel tired from all the trekking you did to reach the rice terraces, such as Batad, Bangaan, and Hungduan.

In addition to Banaue Hotel’s firsts, they are also known to have the first swimming pool in Banaue that guests can enjoy, which is just 5 minutes away from the hotel.
