Prepare to be enthralled by an impressive lineup of Japanese cinematic gems carefully curated for this year’s festival. Delve into the thrilling adventures of Detective Conan in The Time-Bombed Skyscraper (1997) and The Private Eyes’ Requiem (2004), or embark on a nostalgic adventure with classics like Voltes V: The Liberation (1977-1978) and its modern rendition, Voltes V: Legacy (2023). Basketball fanatics will delight in the adrenaline-pumping action of The First Slam Dunk (2022), while those seeking heartwarming tales can enjoy We Made a Beautiful Bouquet (2021), and other cinematic treasures.

Admission to these screenings is FREE at select venues throughout the country, including Shangri-La Red Carpet Cinema, SM City Baguio, SM City Iloilo, SM Seaside City Cebu, SM City Davao, and the UPFI Film Center. However, due to the anticipated popularity of these screenings, seats are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

The inaugural Japanese Film Festival debuted in 1997, which showcased a diverse array of Japanese drama, anime, and mystery films in the Philippines.
