HAPPENING NOW: Aki Matsuri at Mitsukoshi BGC
Aki Matsuri (Autumn Festival) is celebrated to thank the gods for a bountiful harvest. Its ceremonies use music, dance, prayers, and offerings of food and sake (rice wine) to thank the kami (Shinto spirits) for a fruitful season. The holiday is also a time to pray for the continued success and well-being of the community.
