Savor Culinary Class Wars Chefs’ Creations at Your Local from Apr 6 – June 1
The acclaimed Netflix series Culinary Class Wars is bringing its culinary magic to the Philippines with a special pop-up event titled “Mat Nam: Where Flavor Meets.”
This one-of-a-kind collaboration showcases Your Local’s Patrick Go teaming up with renowned chefs from the show–Young Sook Lee, Jihyung Choi, Kisu Bang, and Byung Mook Kim—from April 6 – June 1, 2025, at The Balmori Suites in Rockwell, Makati City.

Preparing their signature dishes from April 6- 23 are chefs Young Sook Lee and Jihyung Choi. The former is the owner of Nakyung and winner of Korean Food Battle Season 2, and is famous for championing traditional and regional Korean cuisine. The latter, on the other hand, is the owner of Michelin Guide-starred restaurant Leebukbang and is known for using North and South Korean culinary traditions.

From April 26 – May 14, Chef Kisu Bang, the first Korean head chef to earn a Michelin star in the country and the restaurateur behind Gitdeun, will take center stage. He’s renowned for elevating Korean BBQ to new heights.
Following him, Chef Byung Mook Kim AKA Korea’s “Yakitori King” and owner-chef of the Michelin Guide-rated restaurant Yakitori Mook, will grill his unique blend of Japanese yakitori with Korean cooking techniques from May 17 – June 1.
The guest chefs will make personal appearances during their respective periods by offering diners an exclusive ala carte menu that includes both their signature dishes and original creations inspired by Your Local’s flavors. With only four (4) seatings per day—lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner slots at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m.—reservations are highly recommended.
