The event will gather 24 invited riders from all over the world to compete for the title at the main event. The top two men and two women from the qualifier will join the invited riders for the opening celebrations on February 7.

In a press conference for the said event, Kite board athletes Eric Rienstra from the USA, James Boulding from UK, Manuela Jungo from Switzerland, and Paula Rosales from the Philippines introduced the sport and what’s about to happen in the event.  According to Rosales, this kiteboarding event will be “educational and and is good for tourism in the Philippines. This is something that’s eye-opening for the locals.”

Blue Kite boarding aims to promote the green approach to board sports by harnessing the power of the wind and adapting to natural environment. As the first kite park in Asia, the Blue Kite park located in Blue Palawan is the perfect place to do wind-based activities because of the constant wind and flat water.
