Ceramic Wishes: A Tanabata Pottery Experience Comes to MITSUKOSHI BGC This August 30
Ceramic Wishes: A Tanabata Pottery Experience will take place on August 30, 2026, at 2/F MITSUKOSHI BGC, beside % Arabica, as part of MITSUKOSHI BGC’s 3rd Anniversary celebration and the 70th Anniversary of Japan–Philippines Friendship.
Inspired by Japan’s Tanabata or Star Festival, the event invites participants of all ages to create their own ceramic keepsakes while celebrating creativity and the enduring friendship between Japan and the Philippines.

Participants can choose from two newly introduced workshops. The Glass Decal Art Workshop allows guests to personalize a ceramic piece using colorful decals inspired by Tanabata wishes, stars, lanterns, and Japanese and Filipino symbols.

Meanwhile, the Pottery Crayons Workshop lets participants decorate pottery using special ceramic crayons with playful Japanese and Filipino-inspired designs.

Both workshops will be held at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m..
Guests may also try the Pottery Wheel and Tiny Pots Experience, which is open to walk-in visitors and does not require advance registration. Participants can shape a cup or bowl on a regular pottery wheel or create miniature pottery on a tiny wheel.

Each session is limited to 15 minutes per person and is available on a first come, first served basis.
Registration for the pottery wheel experience begins at 10:30 a.m. at 2/F MITSUKOSHI BGC, beside % Arabica. Firing and glazing are optional, while delivery fees apply for fired works.
Workshop fees range from Php 2,200 to Php 4,400, with a 2+1 promo available for participants who register with friends.
All workshops and activities are open to participants of all ages. As workshop slots are limited, guests are encouraged to register in advance through Pottery Session’s official booking page.
