Founded in 2015 by a group of dedicated komiks creators, Komiket began with the mission to nurture and expand the Filipino comics community. It launched its first Filipino Komiks Art Market in Quezon City thatquickly became a vital platform for new creators, writers, and readers. Over the years, Komiket has grown significantly, organizing numerous komiks art markets nationwide, awarding Komiket Awards and Komikstarter Grants, and publishing various comic anthologies and graphic novels.
