  • Now on their 27th year, the Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival is set to thrill the audience with an amazing showcase of Filipino-Korean talents. With the theme “Hand in Hand,” the festival encourages a more active exchange with a day of activities and cultural events. The event is set to take place on October 27, 2018, at Aliw Theater, Pasay City.

There are two parts to the event. The first part is the annual talent competition where Filipino and Korean finalists are set to perform in Korean and Filipino, respectively. The highlight of the second part of the program is the traditional performances from Korea and the Philippines. The Korea National Gugak Center will be showcasing their talent in playing traditional Korean instruments. They will also be performing “Seungmu,” a traditional Korean dance and the song, “Arirang.” The National Folk Dance Company of the Philippines, Bayanihan, will be performing traditional Filipino folk dances as the country’s representative.

There will also be performances from Buk Chum-Drum Dancing Team Sejong Hakdang and the opera singer, Bless. The Korean Pop Idol group, BNF will also be present to complete the final stage of the program.
