Celebrate International Cat Day with PETA’s Coffee For Cats
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) partnered up with cafés around the metro for “Coffee for Cats,” an event where a portion of the sales of non-dairy coffee drinks will go to PETA’s Kapon/Ligation Immediately, Please (KLIP) spay/neuter program.
In celebration of International Cat Day on August 8, this event not only takes place in Manila but also in select cafes in Hong Kong.
For Coffee for Cats, PETA has partnered with the following establishments:
- Antipodean Manila
- Arabica Philippines
- Cafe Mermania
- Chemistea
- Corner Tree Cafe
- Manna & Golde
- The Fat Seed Cafe + Roastery
- The Kismet Café & Wellness Market
- YDG Coffee

Since 2015, KLIP has sterilized and vaccinated more than 1,000 cats and dogs living in Metro Manila for free. Their staffers transport the animals to vets for surgery and treat their health problems at no cost to their guardians.
Overpopulation is one of the main reasons why PETA believes that spaying and neutering can prevent thousands of animals from abuse, neglect, and euthanasia.
Help support PETA’s campaign to make the world a better place for animals. If you don’t live in Manila or Hong Kong, you may still support the cause by visiting PETA’s official website.
