Stillness Is The Noise Exhibit Showcases Captivating Works of 8 Photographers
Space Encounters Gallery creates an impactful sense of photography that will even draw out strong emotions through Stillness is the Noise exhibit.
More than a thousand words will be spoken as eight photographers come together to stage the gallery’s first photography show.
The photo exhibit, which was opened on Tuesday, February 19, is “about how stillness doesn’t mean quiet,” the gallery owner Wilmer Lopez says. “There’s always something happening or stirring.”

This ambiguous feeling towards still images is explored in the works of photographers who continue to venture out into their respective crafts: Miguel Nacianceno, Sonny Thakur, and Toto Labrador are esteemed names in editorial, travel, and commercial photography; Cru Camara and Carmen Del Prado are shaking things up shooting lifestyle and nature; Floyd Jhocson is carving his own niche in fashion and portraiture; and Jilson Tiu and Eloisa Lopez are redefining photojournalism in this age of “Insta-photography.”

Stillness is the Noise explores the art of photography at its core—”its mood, its substance, its stillness,” adds co-owner Thor Balanon.
