  • Sports tournaments are a good way of raising funds for charity, and the U.S. Embassy Club (USEC) Manila looks to take advantage of this once more with their annual one-day charity event next month. The tennis tournament will be on April 7 at Colegio San Agustin Makati and is co-sponsored by the American Women’s Club of the Philippines and the American Association of the Philippines.

The USEC provides grants local organizations that help Filipino women and children in need. Entry fee is at Php 3,000 per person while non-players may purchase tickets to the Awards Ceremony at Php 2,500 per person. Categories will only be for Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles, with players being allowed to select their level of play upon registration. Choose from 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 or 4.5 levels. For those without partners, the event will assign a partner on or before April 2 through an e-mail notification.
