Caredivas: A Pinoy Musical Tribute To Our OFW Heroes on June 24-July 30
From the partnership of Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) comes Cardevas: A musical tribute for our OFW heroes. Mark your calendars on June 24 until July 30, 2017 at The PETA Theater Center as they take the stage.
Caredivas is a group of witty and comedic transgender Overseas Filipino Workers in Israel who work as care givers by day and changes into these glamorous drag queen performers by night. The show will feature the struggle of being away from your family and staying in a foreign land while finding acceptance.
The show will take part of OWWA’s 35th anniversary celebration, as its goal is to promote and protect the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers. It was during 2011, when Caredivas premiered in which they won awards for The Philstage Gawad Buhay! Awards and brought home seven trophies, Outstanding Musical Direction, Outstanding Musical Production and Outstanding Ensemble Performance for a Musical.
