‘West Side Story’ Broadway Classic in Manila
Dubbed as “The No.1 Greatest Musical of All Time” by The Times, the American production of West Side Story is set to stage a show on August 10 at The Theatre in Solaire in Paranaque.

The musical is inspired by Shakespeares’ Romeo and Juliet, about a rival of two irreconcilable teenage gangs which take place in the 1950s New York. The story revolves around a former gang member named Tony who fell in love with the sister of the Puerto Rican gang, Maria. It is known for songs like “Maria” , “Tonight”, and “I Feel Pretty.”
The musical has sold-out seasons around the globe, from London to Tokyo, and Syndney to Johannesburg. It was also nominated for Best Musical in the 1958 Tony Awards and 1958 Theater World Awards.
