Sumi Jo: The Divine Diva in Manila
World-renowned soprano Sumi Jo is set to come back in Manila on February 7, 2017 and perform at the Meralco Theater in Pasig City to pay tribute to legendary diva Maria Callas’ 40th death anniversary.

Sumi Jo is renowned for the precision, agility, and warmth of her voice. She was recognized by Maestro Herbert von Karajan who described her voice as a “voice from above.”
Since then, she performed with the world’s leading conductors in the most famous opera houses and concert halls and became a Grammy Award winner.
In fact, her rendition of “Simple Song” from the film “Youth” was nominated for the 2016 Oscar for Best Original Song.
