UAAP Season 79: Dare to Dream
The most- awaited collegiate sports league is back! Catch the opening of the 79th season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines on September 3, Saturday and witness the battle among eight universities in the Philippines.

The opening ceremony will be held at the UST Plaza Mayor at 3:00 pm with formal introduction of ballroom dancing as demonstration sport in this season, by the host school University of Santo Tomas (UST) at España, Manila. The official ceremony will start at 5:00 pm as there will be a concert party themed “Dare to Dream” where the official theme song for the season will be revealed. However, unlike in the previous years, the first games will be held separately which will start off on September 4 for the basketball game at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Eight prestigious universities in Metro Manila namely Adamson University (AdU), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), National University (NU), University of the East (UE), University of the Philippines (UP), and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) vie for the overall championship title in fifteen sports such as basketball, volleyball, chess, fencing, judo, table tennis, cheer dance competition, and many more.
