Get ready for the sun to come out tomorrow as Annie comes to Manila!
The famous award winning play Annie will grace the stages of Manila starting on September 30th at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre. This Tony Award-winning play about an orphan girl named Annie and her adventures at the orphanage under Ms. Hannigan debuted in 1976 at Goodspeed Opera House, and has been revived countless times in both Broadway and West End. It also has been on countless tours that include the United States, United Kingdom and Australia and now in Manila.
The Manila revival will include local casts, such as Krystal Brimner and Isabeli Araneta Elizalde as Annie, and Michael De Mesa as Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks. Other casts include the first lady of Philippine theatre, Menchu Lauchengco–Yulo as Ms. Agatha Hannigan, Jill Pena as Secretary Grace Farrell, and Macko Alonso and Ref Conception both as Daniel Hannigan.
