In time for the 30th EDSA Anniversary, Ballet Manila presents its own take on the world-renowned Spartacus as they bring Martin Lawrance’s Rebel on February 25-28, 2016 at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City.

With the 1986 People Power Revolution as its setting, Rebel explores freedom, bravery, and human struggle for its theme. This version of Spartacus that tells about the violent battles in Rome will be about the Philippine setting under the tutelage of the Marcos regime. With having inputs from Filipino playwright Floy Quintos, the story will revolve around the history of the EDSA period as dance and drama meet.

The Khachaturian scoring will be performed by the ABSCBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga. For more information about Rebel, please see the details provided below.
